Commercial Description
Urea is a hygroscopic molecule, i.e. capable of absorbing water, found in the epidermis as part of the natural moisturizing factor (NMF). It is essential for maintaining hydration and the integrity of the stratum corneum. When applied topically, it acts as a potent moisturizer, emollient, keratolytic and antipruritic, playing a key role in regulating the epidermis. It is ideal for body care products, especially for specific areas such as feet and hands, or in post-depilatory treatments.
